Best Lessons of 2015

f7fe547f455ac2e9b72ea64425fc8bd8

This year has been one for the books.  A ton of fantastic things have happened, I’ve been able to grow my business(es), see a vision for the future and my daughter turned three!  Goodbye terrible twos!  Though I know it isn’t PC to say ‘terrible two’s anymore, please trust me when I say, they were very, very tough, but I swear, almost as soon as she turned three things started to get much easier…..

There have also been some tough things that have happened. But some things are out of your control and this control freak is learning to let go of the urge to try and control everything.  Through that understanding I’ve been able to be open to learn one of the best lessons that I’ve learned all year and that is:

Change is a Challenge.

Change is a challenge, it’s challenging, but challenges make you grow.  Without change you are not pushing your boundaries and thus, staying the same.  Though there is nothing wrong with the status quo, if you are in fact feeling stuck, unable to break through in any or many areas of your life one thing that might be inevitable is that something needs to change.  I’ve discovered that though I could continue to talk about my frustrations, the only thing that was going to give me a different outcome was to make a change.

I have also discovered that making the decision to change is only the first step.  Some changes are trickier than others so though the initial rip of the Band Aid is one thing, living within your change is another challenge in and of itself.  I want growth, I don’t want to complain, I’m over feeling stuck, complacent and controlled so I will take the challenge, continue to grow and embrace the change.

Happy New Years Eve lovelies, thanks for your incredible support this year.  Your messages, emails, texts, comments have damn near saved my life.

Check out what the rest of the team has also learned this year below

Martina:

Confidence is the key! You aren’t always going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but as long as you are your own then you are on the right track. Confidence enables you to take chances with opportunities, have faith in yourself, and have the courage to put yourself out there and work for your goals! You need to have faith in yourself and with confidence you will shine!

Winy:

I learned quite a few lessons this year, huge life changing ones. The one lesson that first comes to mind is that if you don’t believe in yourself, your abilities and what you bring to the table, no one else will. Know yourself, know your worth and go after what you need in order to be happy.

Karen Michelle:

This past year has been one of extreme growth with lessons that have left me changed for the better; the most important lesson I’ve learned was to learn from others’ mistakes. The phrase “do unto others…” Could not be more true and in paying attention to how I would like to be treated , I have learned how to treat others. There’s so much to learn, we just have to pay attention and suspend our egos.
