Being active in the winter is not easy. Especially if you have an aversion to the cold like I do. So while I peeled out of bed this morning only to open my blinds and be faced with the darkness that is a winter morning, I got to thinking… Thinking that what we (I) really need is a little EXTRA motivation for when the days are long, cold and dark. Because a combination of no sun & no movement makes for a super sad (S.A.D.) group of humans.
So for the moth of November I challenge you (me, US!) to 30 days of activity. What does that mean? Well just that; 30 days of doing something active every day. By active I don’t by any means suggest you go smash a HITT class every day but rather you just do one thing to get your blood flowing every day. Whether it’s walking for 30 minutes home from work or doing a new class, or trying out pilates for the first time, I encourage you to join me on a month long journey of sweat, activity and endorphin fuelled happiness.

Don’t have a lot of extra dough to shell out for workouts? Nike has a great app with hundreds of workouts created by pro athletes and trainers that you can do in the comfort of your own home. Also, if you can invest in a pair of running shoes, hit the streets and get your walk/jog/fresh air on. The streets are free and calling your name! If you don’t want to do it alone, both Nike and Adidas have free run clubs
