Falling Whistles @ PROJECT
Falling Whistles was born to give a voice to children in the Congo, too small to carry guns, sent to the front lines of battle with nothing but a whistle. The whistle was to act as an instrument to incite fear in their opposers but as we all clearly realize, not much stands up against a machine gun, especially not a tweet from a whistle. Creator Sean Carasso was in the Congo and wrote a journal entry about the horror that he had witnessed and out of the response, the Falling Whistles movement was born.
Falling Whistles are sold to bring awareness, raise funds for the children who come out alive and help promote a dream for peace in this war torn region that has already claimed the lives of over 6 million people.
This week at PROJECT Falling Whistles debuted a new line to pay homage to the 5 original boys who were found in military encampment and eventually brought to freedom with the help of Sean and some of his friends.
here are the boys, an image from the original journal entry that you can read HERE (do it!)
After meeting the people at Falling Whistles, and reading the compelling story, I know for sure that:
I’m a whistle blower for peace.
You should be too.
