Last week I headed south to Motor city to attend the North American International Auto Show for the launch of Ford’s newest creation, the Ford Fusion.
Day One started with a welcome dinner at the Henry Ford Museum for the 150 bloggers invited from around the world. This 80,000 square foot museum has recently had a facelift and will re-launch to the public at the end of the month with an exhibit called ‘Driving America’. This museum is of great historical significance not only having been formerly known as the Edison Institute (uh-hem, remember that guy that invented the light bulb?!) but also for having inventory such as JFK’s presidential limousine, Abe Lincoln’s chair and the bus Rosa Parks made history on.

It’s become somewhat of a tradition in my little family to head to New York just before the Christmas break to take in the sights and catch a few of the sales. Since we’ve been going around this time, I always make a point of checking out the windows at Bergdorf Goodman at night. When the sun goes down, and the crowds start to die down, the windows take on a magical life of their own and you’re allowed the time and freedom to peer at their beauty for as long as you like.
This year the window displays were especially beautiful.
The windows are designed every year by Linda Fargo and David Hoey. There’s even a book out with images of the best windows simply titled ‘Windows at Bergdorf Goodman’.

Last weekend, Coco and I headed to Miami to attend what is known as ‘the Olympics of the art world’, Art Basel.
Mr. Brainwash aka Thierry Guetta took over a massive empty retail space on Collins in South Beach. You couldn’t miss the big Mr. Potato Head and the many Darth Vaders peaking out from the building’s balconies. He was there signing free posters of his artwork. Pretty awesome!
Then we headed over to the Wynwood Arts District where graffiti artists took to the streets and made Miami a little more colourful. There was even a pop-up spray paint shop where anyone could buy paint, head outside and find a wall to tag.

Last Friday, Coco and I had the opportunity to take a golf lesson at Lakeshore Links, an indoor golf experience in Toronto which I was expecting to be a tall, multilevel indoor bubble. I was so wrong! It was a bright one level building with multiple rooms, a putting area and a fully stocked bar. See our experience, the venue and get some golfing style tips when you read more.
We first fell for Anna when she wowed at the Vogue Paris Ball (here) and when we got the invite to party with her and her bestie THE photo blogger Tommy Ton at The Bay we died.
To our absolute delight this was one of the best fashion parties we have ever attended in our lovely city! Â Everyone came out decked in their dazzling finest. Â Shocking brights, skyscraping heels, exquisite tailoring, couture, ready-to-wear, it was all there – like opening your favorite fashion magazine, delighted with every turn of the page. Â Not that Toronto fashion is usually terrible, but that it can tend to be safe. Â Anna brings out the inner fashion fiend in all of us and it was quite a sight to see.
Coco & Lowe’s  unofficial drink of choice -Veuve- was on deck giving The Room an even dreamier glow.
