Mother’s Day Ideas For Those Last Minute Shoppers (me)

Mother’s Day.  The one time of the year that we all collectively celebrate the women that gave us life.  Where we can try to make up for the teenage years and all of the countless times we embarrassed, ignored and tried mercilessly to undermine their authority.  Yup, they deserve this day and if you’re a Last Minute Larry like me, we’ve got some shopping (or planning) to do.

Here are some of my picks to help remind inspire you:

It’s clear that I’m a huge Line fan.  These two pieces would be perfect for Mum and the fabrics are so soft that they will be sure to become a staple.

(p.s. they also have amazing pieces at their sample sale, you can snag cashmere sweaters for $20!)

If your Mother is anything like mine she makes the most phenom meals, ALWAYS.  Give her a break and offer to make her a lovely brunch or dinner.  (Sarah & I have opted for the dinner, stay tuned for the recap)

Here’s a link to some yummy recipes

A beautiful set of tea cups:

Some beautiful flowers in an interesting reusable vase:

Something that sparkles.  These two pairs of earrings by Anzie are so dreamy:

A frame with a picture of old family memories:

One year my brother, sister and I made a memory box with the words from a Corinne Bailey Rae song that my Mum loves and she adores it.  Most times the thoughtful gifts are the ones that people love the most.
