If you follow my Twitter you’ll know I’ve been in Italy for the past couple of days exploring the countryside and the city of Florence or Firenze – as the Italians call it.
The heat has been incredible so we decided to rent a car and head to the beach town of Viareggio on Monday for some relief. We rented a Fiat 500, a car that I’ve admired from afar for years for it’s stylish take on what we in North American would deem a mini-car.
The Mr gave the locals a treat whenever we pulled over and he unfolded his 6’5 frame. It was a wonder how he was able to fit, but he swears it’s the best small car he’s ever driven.
I have yet to go a day without eating pizza or pasta and the carb lover in me (and my little bun in the oven) could not be happier!
I’ve also discovered bread soup, a Tuscan tradition. It is OUT OF THIS WORLD and will explain it in more detail soon.
A full post to follow but you can follow my adventures on Twitter, and instagram @cocobesmart or on my Tumblr (if you’re still a Blackberry fan)
