It’s taken me a while, but I’m officially an online shopping convert. I can do it in my jammies, snuggled up on the couch and knowing that my baby is soon to arrive; anything to avoid overheating at a crowded mall is a bonus.
Regardless of whether you share my particular situation, I know no one dies to line up for everything, over pay for parking and sweat it out with the crowds. In fact, a recent survey from Amex revealed that ¼ of Canadians would rather clean their toilets than go to the mall the week before Christmas… thankfully, Amex has worked hard to make Holiday shopping so much easier.
How you ask? The Holiday Hotlist!
American Express Canada has created a Facebook App that allows users to make a Holiday wish list full of the hottest items on the market and then share it with friends and family simply by a click of the mouse!
You can also use the app to search for gifts to give and if you end up buying them online you get the added bonus of collecting more reward miles. Amex Cardmembers get the same rewards online as in store so whether you collect Membership Rewards, AIR MILES, Aeroplan, Starpoints or cash back, every purchase puts you closer to bonus time! Did you know that almost 60% of Canadians admit that they don’t create or share a holiday wish list? To help making one a fun experience, Amex has sourced a wide range of items from retailers and brands like Best Buy, eLuxe, Samsung, Monster, KOBO, Hunter & Belle Noel ranging in the categories of technology all the way to fashion.
And if you’re still weary of online shopping for safety reasons, you can be assured that Amex takes your protection very seriously by replacing any stolen or damaged merchandise for up to 90 days after purchase and has one of the strongest Anti-fraud policies in the industry.
I’ve created my list and checked it twice! Here are some of my top picks:
