When I first stumble upon Elizabeth’s blog Haut Appetit, I knew we’d get along famously. As a fellow lover of sweet treats and fashion, Elizabeth started her blog two years ago as an homage to all things sweet and stylish. While exploring desserts and style, the fashion model takes us thru a culinary dessert journey via her worldwide travels as a model & a blogger and also into her kitchen.
Elizabeth’s style is impeccable, her recipes look beyond yummy and she’s delightful. A fashion model who’s not only beautiful, loves & eats food, is super stylish and super nice? Yes, it’s possible!
We met up with her and asked her to share with us her five favourite things about Toronto, here they are.

Elizabeth, what do you like best about your Toronto neighborhood?
I like Trinity Bellwoods because of the collection of unique restaurants, shops, and people, all centered around the park. I also love the view of the CN tower from here.
My five favourite things in Toronto are…
Afternoon tea at Shangri-La Hotel- The hotel is very hospitable and, there aren’t a lot of afternoon teas services available in Toronto. I’ve lived in London and there are loads there. The Shangri-La’s afternoon tea service also has the largest collection of tea in North America. It’s a unique treat to give yourself in a beautiful setting, drinking tea and eating French pastries. Glory Hole
Donuts – The cupcake craze is over and donuts are the new thing. I’m always looking for the new food trends and donuts are delicious. Glory Hole has a delicious selection.
Chosen Vintage Toronto – Absolutely love this store! I’ve been to vintage stores all over the world and Chosen Vintage is a little gem in Toronto. The buyer chooses really good pieces and the prices are really good.
Trinity – Bellwoods Park – When I’m in Toronto, I live near the park. Going to Trinity-Bellwoods Park is a nice way to take a break in your day. The setting is beautiful and the great thing is Nadege patisserie is right around the corner – having good treats near by is key.
Porter Airlines – There is no other airline or airport like it; landing in downtown, on a lake in a huge city is incredible. Love the view of Toronto when you land at the city airport. The Porter airlines service is exceptional, I feel like I’m home the minute I step into their lounge. It’s a great feeling since I travel a lot and fly home every 2 – 3 weeks.
