What’s Your Red?

The pop of colour and statement a red lip makes is one that simply cannot be ignored. I have been searching for some time now for my perfect red and alas, I have found it! With fall on our minds and in our forever changing ensembles, we asked a few of our friends what their favourite reds were. Having different skin tones, it is no surprise that we all landed on different parts of the red spectrum.

Here are our favourite reds:

1. Dragon Girl by Nars

Dragon Girl by Nars is my favourite red because it has incredible pigment that pops like no other. I only wear matte reds and this one is rare as it doesn’t leave you with that awful dry feeling. It’s actually quite moisturizing.

2. Red Revolution by Maybelline

Red Revolution by Maybelline is my favourite because it has a very rich and glossy finish that I love. It is so easy to apply and a lipstick that I don’t need to wear a liner with, although I totally could.

3. Cruella by Nars

I have a pretty solid rotation of red lipsticks and up until last year, MAC “Russian Red” was my favourite. When I got this Cruella by Nars in my Sephora gift bag last year, I instantly fell in love and now it’s my go-to red. I am a huge fan of NARS and I like the pencil application. It’s like my lipstick and lipliner in one!

4. Russian Red by Mac

Russian Red by Mac is one I especially love because it is wearable all year round. I have been on the hunt for the perfect red and this is it! It makes a statement, and is to me a true deep red that is perfectly matte.

5. On Fire Red by Maybelline

On Fire Red by Maybelline is my favourite because I love a red that pops. It’s moisturizing and adds glam to any occasion or outfit!

6. Gladiolus by Revlon

I love a good lipstick and I’m always looking out for a new red, you can never have enough is my motto!  This Gladiolus by Revlon is perfect for day wear- not too crazy, just the perfect shade for daytime.

7. Rouge Artist Intense 43 by Make Up Forever

My absolute favouite red lip stick is Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Intense 43. This long lasting red lipstick delivers rich vibrant color in just one stroke and I love the creamy texture as it glides on effortlessly and is perfect for any skin tone!
