Travel Tuesday: Instagram-Worthy Nature

The slightest hint of spring always gets me in the mood to be outside. I get this itch to stroll through a park, or stand still with the breeze of a lake, or jump on a plane, train, or automobile to find some new sights. And then I Instagram it, of course, because isn’t that what you’re supposed to do, rack up those geotags?

Below is a round-up of some of the most Instagram-worthy nature around the world, in case you’ve also got the travel-and-Instagram-it bug.

Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah

The Bonneville Salt Flats are a salt pan, which are found in deserts, and occur naturally. The ground is laden with minerals that, when shone on by the sun, appear white. When the water from a rainfall has not yet fully evaporated, you can witness a beautiful mirrored balance of land and sky. Wouldn’t this be the perfect backdrop for a colourful, eye-catching outfit?

Mui Ne, Vietnam

To continue the theme of beautifully minimal backdrops to Instagram, the sand dunes of Mui Ne will definitely provide you with the perfect landscape to snap that photo. Pictured here are the white sand dunes, but did you know there are also red sand dunes? Both are equally impressive, and perfect for your next #OOTD.

Canterbury, New Zealand

If moutainous greenery is more to your liking, then there’s always Canterbury. This was one of the shooting locations for The Lord of the Rings 2 and 3, and if you’ve seen the films, you know the breathtaking panoramic shots. There’s a reason places like this are chosen to be the set of otherwordly films, and that’s because they’re exactly that. Imagine the views on the Instagram story featuring this scene.

Jiuzhaigou National Park, China

If you love the colours of crystal clear water normally found in tropical climates, but also crave lush forestry, this national park is a perfect marriage of both. Bring your entire sneaker collection, because not only will they be useful to you during the hikes, but we garner your Flyknits will look real good against this backdrop.

Flower Fields, Holland

So if dunes, lakes, or mountains aren’t for you, then surely rows upon rows upon rows of flowers are your Instagram dream. Snap a “follow me”-style shot or a botanical Boomerang. No matter what you shoot in these fields, the flowers are so abundant and the span is so vast, no picture can be a bad one.
