Hello, my name is Coco, and I am an addict… a pizza addict, that is. I love the way it looks, the way it smells, the way it tastes; I even like the way it looks as an emoji. I’m just all about the ‘za. I also really love me some chocolate, so when I heard about the newest innovation in pizza created by Dr. Oetker, I was intrigued, to say the least. Two of my favourite things in one place? Chocolate pizza? Say what now?
I was intrigued by the concept and headed over to Cioccolato’s Ristorante to see what all the buzz was about. The invite said, “Come for a slice of chocolate pizza at the world’s only chocolate pizzeria.” They were promising to make my #chocolatedreams come true and I was ready and willing for this to happen.
Upon entering this West-side pop-up, I was welcomed by a handsome man in a pink apron who offered me a glass of prosecco (off to a good start). I was then greeted by another gentleman who was to take me on a tour of this one of a kind resto. The smell of chocolate wafted through the room and I was quick to realize that the dark chocolate interior wasn’t just a convenient colour choice, but actually mostly made up of actual chocolate. From the walls, to the artwork, to the pizza oven, to the CHANDELIER – it was made of chocolate, all chocolate! There was even a diamond ring made from chocolate. Seriously.
Though the diamond and the decor were super cool, the highlight had to be the pizza. A chocolate crust made from Ristorante’s signature crust topped with chocolate sauce, dark chocolate chips, milk chocolate shavings and white chocolate chunks. Heavenly. They were not kidding when they said the Ristorante Cioccolato pizza is a chocolate dream.
Now, I’m not going to tease and tempt you with all of this deliciousness and not share. Cioccolato’s Ristorante is open to the public today (Feb 9th) until Valentine’s Day! You can stop in and try this deliciousness for yourself, grab a glass of bubbly and even try on a diamond made from chocolate pizza!
