Bone Broth has been all the rage on the interwebs for years, beginning with the fitness bloggers and catching fire with the bloggers of all things beauty. For those of you who haven’t caught on to this healthy trend, Bone Broth checks all of the boxes in the nutrition category providing a ton of protein, collagen, anti- inflammatory amino acids, calcium and helps with digestion.
If you have time on your hands you can make your own bone broth with recipes like this one, but if time isn’t on your side I highly recommend the broth from Ripe Nutrition. DELICIOUS!
I like to drink bone broth for all of the benefits I’ve listed but also in the winter there really is nothing like a warm cup of chicken soup and a nicely seasoned broth with taste just like it. It also helps to fill you up on those days when you’d rather stay horizontal with a bag of Cheetos.
If you want to up the ante on your broth game we took the simple idea swirling in a raw egg and bam, protein packed snack that you can feel awesome about! We added some extra spice (as one does) and swear we could drink this every day and be pretty impressed with our new habit.
1.5 cups of broth
- In a small pan heat your broth
- Whisk your egg
- When the broth is heated through add the egg to the broth stirring to combine
- Add a few dashes of hot sauce
- Pour in your fave mug and enjoy!
