10 Foods In Your Kitchen To Make a DIY Face Mask

Happy hump day, Cowes. Our skin is always in need of a mid-week pick me up. Sometimes it’s nice to go au natural and use ingredients in your fridge and/or pantry.

In Need of a Glow

What you need:

  1. Orange juice
  2. Honey

It’s as simple as combining three tablespoons of orange juice with a quarter-cup of honey.

Rub the mixture onto your face and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and follow with moisturizer.

Rise & Shine Mask

What you need:

  1. Raw oats
  2. Honey
  3. Banana

Mix 2 tablespoons of raw oats, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1/2 of a mashed banana to get your mixture.

This soothing blend of ingredients will leave your skin nourished after just 15-20 minutes. We love this when we have an early morning to prep the skin before applying makeup.

Fight Acne Naturally

What you need:

  1. Rice flour
  2. Turmeric powder
  3. Natural yogurt
  4. Raw honey

In a bowl add 2 teaspoons of rice flour, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt and 1 teaspoon of honey.

BAM! If you have angry acne, this one is soothing and great to apply an hour before bed. “Turmeric is excellent for acne because it is a natural antiseptic and helps to keep bacteria from spreading.” We’ll take it.

Coffee Scrub (for face & body)

What you need:

  1. Instant coffee
  2. Coconut oil
  3. Raw honey

The amount of each ingredient is totally up to you, dependant on the thickness of the scrub. We like a thicker scrub, that lathers- definitely generous with the coffee and a small spoonful of coconut oil and raw honey.

Lip Scrub

What you need:

  1. Coconut oil
  2. White sugar
  3. Raw honey
