Happy #HumpDay, Cowes!
This week’s episode with sex therapist, Shan Boodram is JUICY and beyond insightful. Shan is about to rock your world and open your eyes to all things relationships. Listen here as we discuss Shan’s refreshing POV when it comes to online dating, meeting new people, relationship building, the importance of communication and how Shan has become the sought after relationship + sex expert she is.
The second you start listening, you’ll understand exactly why Shan is who she is. Her approach is honest, genuine and intelligent. Shan is seamlessly straight up and will have you laughing while like, realizing stuff.
Shan is a Toronto transplant, however it feels like all of our Toronto peeps basically belong in LA despite us wanting them to be within a 5km radius of us. Shan is thriving with two kick ass books that you should check out “The Game Of Desire: 5 Surprising Secrets to Dating with Dominance and Getting What You Want,” which got critical acclaim from TIME, Apple and Refinery29 and her previous book, “LAID,” was a Canadian best-seller. Shan also has a popping YouTube channel and is currently hosting Sexology on Quibi- watch now for help navigating sex, dating and relationships in this crazy world we live in.
Shan made such a relevant point during our conversation where she said, “we think if I have to read about this, that makes me more of a loser. If I have to admit I’m not good that actually makes me the problem, and no it’s the exact opposite.” Reading and doing your research actually just makes you more aware, intelligent and with it- don’t get it twisted, Cowes!
Now, enough reading for now, move onto listening to this ep for instant enlightenment no matter if you’re single, married, or it’s complicated! Click to listen on Spotify or Apple and don’t you dare forget to rate this pod or follow us here on Spotify.
We’ll leave you with this major key from Shan. “What would you do if you knew you were going to be successful? Move through the world in such a way that you know it will work out.”
From the bottom of our hearts, we hope you enjoy listening to this conversation as much as we enjoyed having it.
xx
