This week’s episode has been a long time coming and because this month is Sexual Health Awareness month, we figured there was no better time than now.
Sex and intimacy with true vulnerability can be a difficult discussion for many – we wanted to make that intimate discussion accessible for our Cowes. In this episode, we sat down with Psychotherapist, relationship and sexpert Kat Kova.
This week, we aired the first in an episodic series of sex-positive podcasts where we discussed everything SEX – this week we Became Cliterate. We took the plunge and dove deep into sexual preferences, building bedroom confidence, mismatched libidos, the eternal struggle of not comparing past sexual partners, shame around vaginal wetness, everything masturbation and understanding your body for a better orgasm!
Kat’s extensive experience working as a relationship and sex therapist allowed her to provide us helpful insights and guidance on how to best navigate these intricacies within our own real-life sexual experiences. These insights Kat provided helped us to look inward and ask ourselves difficult questions. Am I enjoying the sex I am having? Am I being kind and loving towards my body? Are there conversations I need to have with my partner so that they can better sexually satisfy me? These types of questions spark authentic conversations and help us to feel sexually empowered. They allow us to gain a deeper understanding of our sexual nuances, develop kindness towards our bodies and desires and deepen empathy, love and trust within our intimate relationships.
We are so excited to have you on this journey of radical self-discovery through exploring all things SEX and we can’t wait for you to tune in with us all season long!
Cowes, if you or someone you know is in the market for a new couples therapist, sex therapist or just an unbelievable therapist in general you can check out Kat’s website here – you won’t be disappointed.
